troubled water

“Troubled Water,” an investigation into drinking water contamination in communities across the country, is the 2017 project of the Carnegie-Knight News21 program , a national multimedia reporting project produced by top journalism students and graduates. Each year, students selected into the program report in-depth on a topic of national importance. As visual advisors, we oversaw the completion of more than 15 short films, hundreds of photos and a 30-minute documentary, acted as editors and mentors for the fellows who were in the field and influenced the design of the final website.

Alex Lancial and Jim Tuttle are extraordinary storytellers on every front. They are journalists who use their visual talents, incredible creativity and dogged reporting to develop first class work – so much so that I have hired them twice. More importantly, they are exceptional people with unquestionable integrity.
