Transforming agriculture

USAID MARKETS II is a Feed the Future project that focused on helping to end hunger with a sustainable approach to agriculture in Nigeria. Chemonics, a USAID contractor that implemented the project, hired us to to produce photography and four short films for their final report.

short Films

MARKETS II was a very complex project involving hundreds of different stakeholders throughout Nigeria. We interviewed more than 60 of these people and distilled it down to an overview film (above) and three "vignette" style films focused on the individual, communities and country (below).

Photo catalog

For this project, it was crucial to have a large and unique catalog of photos for the client to use for the final report and also their website. Here's some of our favorites:

We have appreciated working with Scale Storytelling immensely. Our project is a complicated mix of agricultural activities spread out over a large portion of Nigeria. We needed an organization that could capture in video and photography our work: strategies, objectives, beneficiaries, and results. Scale Storytelling did this perfectly. Not only were we impressed by the beautiful quality of their results but also their flexibility in working through ideas and approaches to be sure that they were capturing what is needed and translating it into a coherent and comprehensive media package. They were always highly professional in production and post-production and met every deadline.
